DiStruc

The programme of this first scientific training comprises introductory lectures on theory, simulations, experiments, and synthesis. These lectures will be given by selected members of the consortium. Two members of our advisory board, Patrick Davidson and David Dunmur, will give lectures on their area of expertise: specifically, Professor Dunmur will talk about the connections between thermotropic, lyotropic and colloidal systems and Professor Davidson will talk about X-ray and neutron scattering techniques. We have also invited Professor Jan Mewis, a distinguished researcher from KU Leuven to give two lectures on ‘Liquid Crystalline Polymers’ and 'Non-spherical particles'.

Download here the programme of the workshop, including the abstracts of the lectures and information about the venue and getting around Heraklion.
